The Cliff Lodge

One of North America’s most iconic ski lodges, The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird is nestled at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon just below Alta Ski Resort. Each room has a view either facing Snowbird's ski runs or peering down the glacially carved canyon that spills into Salt Lake City below. The lodge offers three on-site restaurants (and several more at the resort), from high-end dinners to casual coffee. The resort has spa and salon services, a yoga studio, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and hot tub. The rooftop pool is worth bringing a swimsuit because the views are dynamite.

Reservations

All reservations should be made by August 16, 2025. Reservations received after the due date may continue to be accepted on a space available basis of Snowbird inventory. Guests have a few options to make reservations: call (1-800-453-3000, Option #2), email (Lodging@snowbird.com), or go online to book.

If guests are calling or emailing, they should identify themselves as a part of group #2DH7NX for Horrocks Trilon Summit in September of 2025.

Elevation

The resort sits just above 7,000 feet and the summit is at 11,000 feet. Utah is also the most arid state in North America. Because of our dry climate and high elevation, we recommend always keeping a water bottle with you and drinking more water than normal.

Ground Transportation

The resort is 32 miles or a 40-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport. Erica Shockey will be gathering flight arrival and departure times to help arrange airport shuttles with each attendee.

Please send her your itinerary at
Erica.shockey@trilongroup.com.

Packing

The summit will be casual! No need for ties or skirts. Think mountain chic and comfortable for your trip to Utah! September can be a little unpredictable, so we recommend layers. It can be quite warm during the day and very chilly at night. We will be eating our first meal outside on the patio, and our activity will be taking us to the top of the mountain. Here is a recommended packing list:

  • Coat

  • Beanie and/or hat

  • Sweatshirt (Surprise! We are giving each attendee a themed sweatshirt to wear ... happy squeal!)

  • Stable walking shoes

  • Water bottle (very important)

Optional Activities

On Tuesday afternoon, our group has tickets to ride the Snowbird Tram to the summit (11,000 feet). On top of the mountain, we’ll take in the majestic views, wander around, and enjoy a few beverages at The Summit Restaurant and Bar. From there, you can take the tram back down the mountain, or you can walk a short hike downhill to the Peruvian Tunnel and take the lift down the mountain. We’ll be having dinner at 6:30 p.m. at The Aerie Restaurant in the lodge that evening. â€‹

Extend your Stay on the Front End

If you want to come early to Utah, Snowbird will be hosting their annual Oktoberfest on Saturday and Sunday. The resort will have booths, beer gardens, rides, and more. â€‹
